Westin Alexandria adds a welcoming note
to a major Beltway project.
The 15-acre Carlyle Development in Alexandria, Virginia is the brand new setting for the U.S. Patent and Trademark Offices, an impressive consolidation of facilities formerly housed in 18 different buildings and employing 7,100 individuals. It’s only fitting that Westin – with its celebrated trademarked innovations such as the Heavenly Bed®, Heavenly Bath® and WestinWORKOUT® Gym Powered by Reebok – be the first prestige hotel presence at Carlyle, with an opening scheduled for Fall 2007.
The Westin Alexandria will be a harmonious addition to this expansive development, and a fitting complement to the genteel charms of historic Old Town Alexandria, just minutes away. The handsome 13-story brick structure showcases 319 hotel guestrooms, as well as 79 condominium units that will be enhanced by a full range of available hotel services. Westin Alexandria offers a stunning environment for the brand’s newest initiatives, all dedicated to providing guests with a visit that is renewing, relaxing and remarkably stress-free. The hotel features one food and beverage outlet, a state-of-the art fitness center and pool, as well as 15,000 square feet of meeting space.
Reid Freeman, Executive Vice President of Regent Partners, developers of Westin Alexandria, reflects on his company’s commitment to Starwood: “Starwood and its Westin brand are definitely more in touch with today’s customers. Starwood knows how to make life easier for developers. They understand the issues we have and create solutions, not problems. Their pre-opening team is amazing they’re completely focused on the success of this venture.”
