Mr. Freeman is President for Regent Partners. He received a J.D. from the Emory School of Law in 1986 and a B.A. from the University of Alabama in 1982.
Mr. Freeman has been in the real estate development business since 1989. Prior to joining Regent Partners in 1998, Mr. Freeman ran his own hotel and real estate firm for three years where among other things he was chosen to run Private Housing 1996 Home and Condominium division, the only private housing and condominium coordinator licensed by the Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games; served nearly seven years as Vice President of Business Development for Stormont Trice Corporation; and prior to his tenure at Stormont Trice he practiced corporate law at Peterson, Young, Self & Asselin in Atlanta.
Mr. Freeman, as a principal at Regent Partners, spearheads real estate transactions throughout the United States involving development, acquisition and repositioning of properties. Regent Partners' interest lie in three areas, office, multi-family and hotel. Since entering the real estate business Mr. Freeman's responsibilities have ranged from on site project management where he was responsible for everything from design, general contractor coordination, purchasing and installing FF&E and coordination with management on the opening of the hotel; to identifying sites, arranging financing negotiating partnership agreements, etc.
Among Mr. Freeman's major real estate transactions during his career are the Norfolk Waterside Marriott and Waterside Convention Center, the Emory Conference Center Hotel, the Emory Inn, Brasstown Valley, the Hyatt Regency Wichita, the Cool Springs Marriott and Conference Center in Nashville, Tennessee, the Hilton Garden Inn Evanston, Illinois, Hilton Garden Inn, Windsor, Connecticut, the Sugar Land Marriott Hotel and Conference Center, and The Davis Building in Dallas, Texas. Mr. Freeman is currently working on the development of a 319-room full service Westin Hotel with 103,000 sq. ft. of condominium in Alexandria, Virginia.
Mr. Freeman is a member of the American Bar Association and the Georgia Bar Association and is actively involved with the Atlanta Forum, Peachtree Road Methodist Church and Camp Kudzu for kids with Diabetes.
