Biography

Mr. Allman is Owner and President of Regent Partners, a real estate development company based in Buckhead. He graduated from Dartmouth College in 1976 Magna Cum Laude, as a Rufus Choate Scholar, and with Distinction in Economics. Mr. Allman also graduated from The Lovett School of Atlanta in 1972 as Valedictorian.

Mr. Allman has been in the commercial real estate business since 1980. Prior to founding Regent Partners in 1988, and serving as its President since that time, Mr. Allman's gained real estate experience with Allman & Company (1987-1988), a commercial real estate brokerage company which he founded with Albritton Development Company (1984-1987). While there, he served as Southeast Region Marketing Director. Mr. Allman also worked with Cushman & Wakefield of Georgia (1980-1984) where he was Assistant Vice President and Leasing Agent.

Since 1980 Mr. Allman has been involved in the development, acquisition, sale, and marketing of all major real estate product types.   Notable projects include the acquisition and redevelopment of the 2,000,000   square foot mixed use Tower Place Complex in the Buckhead sub-market of Atlanta, including its new luxury 36-story residential tower which opened in May, 2004; the acquisition of a large RTC portfolio consisting primarily of large prime land tracts in Atlanta (the Riverwood land in Northwest Atlanta and the Bluegrass land in the Georgia 400 corridor); selection by the U.S. Army as developer and asset manager for its first privatization of military housing at the Fort Carson base in Colorado Springs.   Since 1993, Regent has developed or acquired more than $1,000,000,000 in real estate assets in markets throughout the U.S.

Current civic involvements by Mr. Allman include Chairman of the Buckhead Community Improvement District (CID), where he spearheads the effort to transform Peachtree Street in Buckhead into a world class, pedestrian friendly boulevard; Executive Committee of the Buckhead Coalition, Board of Directors for Buckhead Community Bank, Governor appointee to the Board of Governors for the Georgia World Congress Center, Board of Directors of FCS Urban Ministries, Board Member of the Atlanta Christian Foundation, Chairman of the Georgia Republican Foundation, Board of Governors for the Georgia Public Policy Foundation, Founder and Board Member of HalfTime of Georgia, and member of the World Presidents' Organization (WPO).  

Past involvement includes Chairman of the Board of Deacons of Second Ponce de Leon Baptist Church, Committee Chairman of Young Life Northwest Atlanta, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Georgia Republican Foundation, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Psychological Studies Institute, and Board of Directors of the Midtown Alliance.
