President
Mr. Freeman serves as President of Regent Partners. He received a J.D. from the Emory School of Law and a B.A. from the University of Alabama in 1982.
Mr. Freeman has been in the real estate development business since1989. Prior to joining Regent Partners in 1998, Mr. Freeman ran his own hotel and real estate firm. During this time, he was selected to run the private housing component for the1996 Olympic Games – the only private housing and condominium coordinator licensed by the Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games. Freeman served as Vice President of Business Development for Stormont Trice Corporation and before that he practiced corporate law at Peterson, Young, Self & Asselin in Atlanta.
Among Mr. Freeman's major real estate transactions are the Norfolk Waterside Marriott and Waterside Convention Center, the Emory Conference Center Hotel, the Emory Inn, Brasstown Valley, the Hyatt Regency Wichita, the Cool Springs Marriott and Conference Center in Nashville, Tennessee, the Hilton Garden Inn Evanston, Illinois, Hilton Garden Inn, Windsor, Connecticut, the Sugar Land Marriott Hotel and Conference Center, and The Davis Building in Dallas, Texas. Mr. Freeman recently completed the development of a 319-room full-service hotel with 103,000 square feet of condominium space in Alexandria, Virginia.
Mr. Freeman is a member of the American Bar Association and the Georgia Bar Association and is actively involved with the Atlanta Forum and Peachtree Road Methodist Church. Mr. Freeman also sits on the board of directors for Camp Kudzu for kids with Diabetes and the advisory board for the University of Alabama Entrepreneur Program.
