Mr. Feldman joined Regent Partners in 1994. As Principal - Development Services, he and his development team oversee all pre-development, design, construction and project closeout for the firm. Mr. Feldman has been involved in commercial real estate and construction since 1977 and has been directly responsible for all of the major real estate development functions including site selection, acquisitions, dispositions, master planning, zoning, design, construction, financing, lease negotiation and property management. He has had direct experience in many types of real estate development including high-rise office, industrial, retail, restaurant, hotel, medical, and multi-family residential projects.
During his more than fifteen years with Regent Partners, Mr. Feldman has directed the renovation, development and expansion activities of Tower Place, a 26-acre mixed-use development containing in excess of 1.7-million square feet of office, hotel, retail and high-rise residential located in Buckhead, the preeminent commercial district of Atlanta. This has included the acquisition and disposition of property, easement negotiations with adjoining properties, joint venture and financing negotiations, master planning, re-zonings, and an extensive construction program including renovation of existing structures, new structures and an extensive site redevelopment including roads, sidewalks, landscaping and a park. In 1998, Mr. Feldman completed the development of Tower Place 200, a 13-story, 260,000-square-foot office building. In 2004, Mr. Feldman completed The Buckhead Grand, a 36-story, 286-unit luxury high-rise condominium project. In 2007, Mr. Feldman completed the Westin Alexandria/Jamieson Condominiums, a mixed-use project in Alexandria, Virginia consisting of a 15-story structure containing a 315-room hotel, 79 residential condominium units, and street-level retail, all above underground parking. 2007 also saw the completion of the Buckhead Church which contains a 3,000-seat auditorium. In 2008, Mr. Feldman completed 3344 Peachtree/Sovereign, a 50-story vertical mixed-use project including 505,000 square feet of office, 82 residential units and associated structured parking Current projects include The Brookwood, a 20-story, 219-condominium project in Atlanta to be completed in 2009 and Charleston Midtown in Charleston, South Carolina, a mixed-use project including hotel, residential and retail.
Mr. Feldman received a Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1977. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute, NAIOP (Mixed-Use Forum), the American Society of Civil Engineers and is a registered Professional Engineer. As Vice President of the House Corporation, Mr. Feldman is directing the redevelopment of the Phi Kappa Tau fraternity house at Georgia Tech – when complete it is believed this will be the first free standing LEED-certified fraternity house in the United States.
